Mission: K-9 sadly announces that we will be closing our doors by December 2008. A very active teenage schedule has made maintaining a nonprofit organization fairly overwhelming. But our hearts and prayers will still be with the K-9s and their handlers who continue to put their lives on the line daily in service to their community.
This does not mean that Jessica will no longer support her beloved K-9s or volunteer to serve her community in ways she sees fit. It simply means that, at least for now, her contributions will be done in a less public way.
It is our hope that Jessica's example will continue to inspire other people, both young and old, to volunteer their time and talents to serve others when they recognize the need.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported our mission to help protect the police dogs. We could not have been successful without you. We would also like to thank the Police K9 Foundation of Mt. Kisco, New York. In recent years, they have partnered with us to assist in ordering the bulletproof vests we have donated to various police and sheriff departments.
For anyone still interested in helping with the purchase of much needed safety equipment for our K-9 heroes, we recommend that you contact the Police K9 Foundation at: http://www.policek9foundation.org/contact.html
